A Very Albanian Christmas Menu

Tomorrow’s the day!

We’re finally cooking Albania, and it’s officially becoming our Christmas dinner this year.

Here’s what’s on the menu if you’d like to cook along with us.

🍽️ Tavë Kosi
Baked lamb with rice in a tangy yogurt and egg sauce. This is Albania’s national dish, and I’ll admit I’m still a little skeptical about the yogurt.

🥖 Buke Shtëpie

A simple homemade bread that looks perfect for soaking up every last bit of the sauce.

🍰 Ballokume

Traditional Albanian cornmeal cookies. I’m especially curious to see how these turn out.

☕ Dhallë

A cold, salty yogurt drink.

I’m keeping an open mind… and I’m excited to spend Christmas trying something completely new. Can’t wait to share how it all turns out!

Merry Christmas, and gëzuar!
